TresCom OPs patching error.

well, I'm new here, and I want to point out an error in installing the patch for TresCom:

when I start it up, when it tries to initialize, it gives me an error saying: "unable to open output file", then it gives me a message saying "Could not extract support files - patch will abort"

... can someone tell me what happened?

also, this has happened to me before when I aborted installing the level and tried again (the "searching for software" thing was taking too long.). to fix it, I had to uninstall and reinstall the entire game to fix it.

I'd like to help, but I'm not familiar with the error. Are you certain the tres was properly installed (copied cd onto harddrive, installed from there without the cd)? MadPpiper put that particular patch installer together, so I can't really say what the problem might be.
