Try:
You might want to try the new ATX 1.50. I doubt it'll help, but try opening ATXconfig.ini under the [General] section, and setting UseOldVirtualProtect to 1, and then running trespass_ATX.exe. It tells ATX to use VirtualProtect instead of VirtualProtectEx, which is the same call but assumes explicitly that we're using the current process only, though it might not change anything depending on how the OS was written.
Check ATX_LOGFILE.txt if it doesn't work and post the last line.

Excellent!

I didn't think it would actually work, heh. I included that option for testing about 5 minutes before the release ;).

All the options seem to work. There are problems in hardware though, but there always have been. Before I was getting blue/green boxes around all the trees and foliage in hardware. The draw distance eliminates the blue/green boxes but then there is no foliage at all...

Not a problem! In software at 1024x768, and the draw distance set to maximum it looks beautiful!!!

Good work Big Red!

Hi yochenhsieh,

When you get near the B-29, let me know if you have any problems. I always got a 'crash' in software whenever I got near it. Great screen shots! :)

Oh, I like the way that looks. Like there has been some forest fire or something, leaving only the trunks...

Nice... And they are in software mode? I thought the fog used to look different...
(BTW, TC Isle was supposed to have problems if played in software mode, right?)

I think I stumbled upon why tc_isle crashes in software mode
because of the B29, but it'd be a pain in the ass to redo. Un-
fortunately, there's also more than 1 version of the isle. The
level was also designed with hardware mode in mind --

Dan, I think I fixed the demo version of tc_isle (did not crash
in software mode at b29 site). I don't have the patience to
change 4 different versions of the level, but I will create a
patch for the tc_isle_enhanced demo version if either you or
yochenhsieh are interested.

That's very kind of you to offer. It's really not that big of a deal for me. I just boot into hardware through that place. The scenery under Linux is very convoluted, but I don't mind. Once I get past, I just go back to software. I was just curious if regular Wine ran into the same thing. Please don't go to the trouble on my account. You and the rest of the team giving us TCIsle is very much appreciated. :)

Of course if you really want to, I'd be more than happy to use it.
