I totally accept both of the original Rex models and their differences. Back in those days the technology for CGI was so new that I wouldn't expect them to recreate the animatronic exactly anyway - it also has always appeared to me that CGI Rex used in the night scenes looks different in colouration than the one shown later in the film during the day, possibly due to its inclusion as a last-minute addition. I prefer the animatronic because it's the most recognizable and memorable in my opinion due to its presence in probably the most memorable scene in any of the movies and all the marketing material. The CGI Rex is a bit closer to the JW version, particularily the head and the colouration.
The issue I have with the JW Rex is more that it doesn't look like either of the JP1 Rexes. They definitely made the face and head a lot bulkier than the JP1 Rex so that it ends up looking a lot more like the JPOG version. Looks almost compressed from front-to-back as well. The odd thing is that they seem to have made the rest of the body much thinner, to the point that the head looks too big. It certainly doesn't look awful like a lot of the later JW designs, but it doesn't capture the very recognizable look of the classic Rex as well is it might have.

Rex is pretty iconic, I am glad for various versions, considering how many Raptors we have.

Also yes, I mixed a few JPOG dinosaurs limbs with the Dinosaur king Suchomimus model.

I ever wonder if theres an attempt to make a dinosaur that fits with Trespassers dinosuars models and texture design. Since usually new dinosaurs or models are just from other games or have retextures, I havent seen much of any new dinosaurs in Trespassers art style for the dinosaurs.

The new dinosaurs used in the original TC Isle (dilophosaurus, can’t remember if there were others) were made from scratch for Trespasser by Remdul in the early 2000’s.

Not sure if there are others that aren’t ports from other things.

Yeah, think they also made an original Para, Velciraptor and a Compy model. Then theres me which I created a Herrerasaurus model based on the JPTG depiction from scratch with model reference.
