I still don't see the problem. TPA player is just not playing those sounds properly, but there's no problem whatsoever with the sounds themselves.

You can always extract them with another program...

In TresEd with the Value Table window open for an object, if you put the cursor inside a sound name, you can play the sample and TresEd not only plays the sound but spits out a temporary audio file of the sound: "C:\WINDOWS\Temp\tresed877712.wav".

I've included it with the release of 4.0.9.16, machf, along with the source code below. Beyond yourself and perhaps
a few others though, I doubt few would find the source interesting or understandable.

Hey, I'd rather we have the source than it getting lost or never released ;)

Here's the updated list, with the new gun names added and some corrections LtSten pointed out, too.

BTW, I've noticed that the list includes the following names:

Code: Select all

"0D3D94E9" "MENU\INTRO"
"6B523A99" "MENU\INTROED"
"3ADE5AAA" "MENU\WIN"
"CCDAFE0B" "MENU\WINED"

"FE132732" "MOVIES\FLASHBACKA"
"671A7688" "MOVIES\FLASHBACKB"
"7540A818" "MOVIES\WWHD"
I don't know who made those or to what custom level they correspond, but I seriously recommend replacing the backslash character "\" with the regular slash "/", since internally, Trespasser treats the backslash as a regular slash (it searches for it and replaces it, in much the same way as uppercase characters are replaced by lowercase ones), so it's likely that when searching for any of those names, they wouldn't be found to be played by the engine (which would actually be looking for the hash for "menu/intro", "menu/introed", "movies/flashbacka", etc).

Huh, "WWHD" stands for "What Would Hammond Do" and I am assuming it was the SMK for JPDS, and indeed not a sound file. The flashbacks are likely the JPDS ones too. I'm unsure on the others.

Who included them on the list?
(I guess the ones ending in "ED" are from East Dock...)
