Help with Tres Ops Level please

Post by THEL1NK1N2 »

Hi, I was wondering whether someone could please help me with a problem I am currently having with the installation of the Tres Ops Level. Any feedback would be appreciated...

After I extracted the files, I tried to install the TresCom Ops Level(Act I) Final, however, once
I click on the setup of the level it gives me a window "Searching for software"

After about 30 seconds, the window disappeares. I tried extracting and installing it
on another computer. (Both have windows XP) It was able to "Search for the software",
and I was able to get to the installation screen and enter the password generated
by the Tresword program. I didn't go further, as I only wanted to see if I had the same
problem on the other computer. I do not play Trespasser on the other computer, though.
(It's just a backup computer) (Oh almost forgot I have a harddrive install on my pc.)

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any suggestions, fellow Trespassers?

First off, Welcome to TresCom!

I'm sorry, I have never seen, heard of, or had that problem. If you have the retail trespasser installed on your computer, I don't see why it wouldn't detect it. Hopefully someone here can help you.

Welcome, to Jurassic Park. 8)

Just to be clear, you'll need to have installed the game from a copy of the CD files on your HD, and not from the CD itself.

as far as I know it's niftily handy for many of the levels, and it's good to have anyway

Hey, Shadow Wolf, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I reckon I should get it and try it out.
You're an old member. What's it about, beside the raptor jumping, extra cheats?

well, I'm not all that old a member, I just used to post too much :P :P TBH I don't actually have ATX, I spend more time modding and testing than playing... it increases the graphic res, restores some disabled cheats and adds some more IIRC, it adds new AI routines to dinos, other members will probably be able to tell you more.

EDIT: oh and I never did welcome you to the forum, well here goes: Welcome to the forum :)
