No, YOU just wait and see what I'm going to use it for...Draconisaurus wrote:*looks*
Haha, there's a sound for silence... I suppose that could be useful if you wanted intermittant extended pauses in random bird ambient triggers.
"Spec-Computer Room Run" - fascinating... why would this one exist along with the mainframe boot run? Perhaps it was meant to switch over after the boot sequence was finished.. or something....
"Spec-Helicopter Loop" - perfect. Just wait till you see what this is used for.
Metal Dull 1 & 2 are sound materials; A, B and C are the sounds they make."AMB-PH-B L&R DOPL" - Aha! This sound is more or less in the menu TPA. I was hoping it was also already in the Ambient file. There's at least 2 others I'm hoping are in there as well.. I'll do a more comprehensive search another time.
"VA173 Reverb B" - Niiiice. Good to know I don't have to import it into the additive TPA anymore.
"Wood Hard Metal" - heh, nice!
"Metal Dull C" - haha, I'm sure I've heard this somewhere.. Hmm wait so are sounds like this definitely sound materials, or possible just referenced sounds from other materials?
(EDIT: yeah I think it's just a reference..)
I think it's more possible that they wanted to use them in both ways. Remember that bit about playingg two different sounds at the same time we were discussing some time ago?Code: Select all

Whoa, some duplicate sounds! I always kinda wondered about this.. that's rather interesting. It means they tried it with one AT, it didn't work, so they put it in the other TPA file...Code: Select all

Sounds like a comm link. Possibly related to Anne transmitting whatever was on the Cray to the outer world... (Remember how you all were saying how a diskette wouldn't be enough?)Oh and, guess what Slug. These are the fabled car sounds. Turns out they were all meant for the crane... that's funny how it got that dev to confirm that they wanted drivable cars, anyway! XD
Whoa dude, the first one sounds familiar, but I'm not sure in exactly what way?? Something with the Cray of course.. the others are totally unfamiliar, I wonder what purpose they would have served.Code: Select all

So, you never saw when I added that Remington 870 shotgun using those sounds?"Spec-Door Hing01" - Ooooo, ghost ship.
"Spec-Electrical Fence" - holy crap, nice!
Hmmm what are these ones? They're not sounding familiar.. too tired to see if a gun uses them..Code: Select all

Hmm.. maybe..machf wrote:I think it's more possible that they wanted to use them in both ways. Remember that bit about playingg two different sounds at the same time we were discussing some time ago?
Heh, well that was only because 1 person suggested the disc could be used. I don't think the devs ever expected Anne to bring the disc with her after she listened to the contents. I believe the answer actually lies with Harold Greenwood.Sounds like a comm link. Possibly related to Anne transmitting whatever was on the Cray to the outer world... (Remember how you all were saying how a diskette wouldn't be enough?)
Heh, I don't know what one looks like, so I probably saw it in the Armory and didn't know realize what I was seeing...So, you never saw when I added that Remington 870 shotgun using those sounds?
Ah well, I'll help you out a bit there, the names were all invented by Scallenger - he didn't like any of the T-script names, and found them too difficult to determine, anyway (since he's not a TresEd-user). So of course for the unknown music pieces, they are pure guesses. Interesting that the Stegosaur Greeting music probably does have something to do with the Stego. As for emailing, I think that's a job for Slugger-man.machf wrote:In order to speed things up, could anybody contact Bill Brown and ask him the original names of these 5 music streams?

None of them is on his site, and even though scallenger's soundtrack page has them, I'm not sure where the names listed for them come from, I'd rather have Bill Brown answer without reading those other names...
It's the one that looks like a "classic" shotgun, wooden stock and grey barrel...Draconisaurus wrote:Heh, I don't know what one looks like, so I probably saw it in the Armory and didn't know realize what I was seeing...So, you never saw when I added that Remington 870 shotgun using those sounds?

Not necessarily, really. It's just something starting with "R", "S" or "T".Interesting that the Stegosaur Greeting music probably does have something to do with the Stego.
So, let's hope then that we get something out of it...As for emailing, I think that's a job for Slugger-man.
Hmmmm, interesting. Not that nice-looking of a gun, but cool.. I have an idea for a mystery model it could go to. Though perhaps that's one of your unidentified gun sounds..machf wrote:It's the one that looks like a "classic" shotgun, wooden stock and grey barrel...Draconisaurus wrote:Heh, I don't know what one looks like, so I probably saw it in the Armory and didn't know realize what I was seeing...So, you never saw when I added that Remington 870 shotgun using those sounds?
