New Banner

Post by Slugger »

I’m taking a Flash design in school, and thought why not try out my skills? So, I whipped together a new flash banner for TresCom. I’m still going to fiddle with it, clean up some of the images. But I’ve added it to the banners page, and would appreciate any comments! :)

It's at the bottom of the page.

Looks good Slugger. I just installed the long awaited flash player 9 Beta for Linux and everything works perfectly. :)

What are the HTML codes to add that banner? The *.gif banners have the HTML codes other them. (But if you copy paste them directly it wont give you anything because they're dead. ) I dont kow how to put flash on HTML.

Exemple of the dead banner link: Image

Can you hotlink to a SWF file? If not, I can send you the file...

You can included the code that you used on the page, use an absolute URL.

Misc critique: I'd clean up the spinning logo a bit, there should be a PNG version of the logo somewhere that has transparency (doesn't have the metal/wood background).
I'd also change the font type to Verdana, Times New Roman looks cheap.

Other than that I liked it. The spinning logo looks funny. The timing didn't bother me much, found it easy to read on first viewing.
