We still alive here? We're fast approaching 2 weeks of inactivity, I'm sure that the community has noticed this as well.

Modeled those statues:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/moai.jpg

And here's the ZIP:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/moai_v1.zip

Two new textures, both share an existing palette.

These friendly, stone giants usually stand in a row facing the ocean. I noticed they always lean back a little, seems like they've had a great time being lazy on a tropical paradise island :) . I'm sure they'll feel perfectly at home on the spot you suggested Rebel. Put them right on the edge where the sand meets the grass, or put some patches of grass over the sand where they they'll sit and relax. 8)

Think I'll create a few detail terrain textures, such as beach driftwood & debris, beach pebbles, sandy patches for grassy areas, dinosaur footprints and other stuff I can think of.

Will start on the crater entrance structure tomorrow. Got some ideas. One of the last big few modeling jobs for the level. :yum:

I'll leave the B29 sit a few more days on my HD, let it ripen. Almost finished but needs some extra details. :)

Great stuff, Remdul! :) Crater entrance model looks as if it's going to kick some butt, statues look right on the money.

My ol' brain is in limbo at the moment (lots of beer last night), where'd we say those statues were to go?

I believe it was somewhere on the back side of the island, an empty spot.

Created a few of those detail textures:

Err... how tall should be statues be, Rem? 2x the height of Anne, perhaps?

Yep, about 2.5 meters.

Upload a few screens of the statues and the beach if you like. :)

Okeedokee. Scoutin' for a good locale now. With some luck, maybe we could get that purty crater entrance model in place by next week too, get some nice screenies of that and the moias for another update in the coming week. :)

Got the crater entrance structure done:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... rance1.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... rance2.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... rance3.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... rance4.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... rance5.jpg

And the zip:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom ... nce_v1.zip

One new palette for the new textures, re-used one texture from the lighthouse, didn't edit it so no need to replace it upon import.

If you want I can upload seperate models of the lights, ladder and control boxes if you like. I modeled them to be general purpose objects, I think the lights look great inside the lab/hangar.

Looks great, Remdul. As always, splendid work. :) I'll let ya know how it goes.

Sure, upload those other models separate. I'm not sure that I'd want to get into replacing the hanger lights (I hate redoing stuff, especially when multiple triggers are involved), but we definitely need them for the lab. Control box could be used inside the hanger too.
