I think he was talking about the invisible wall preventing Anne from going out of bounds over the West gate.ThatZenoGuy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 12:06 pm Oddly they mention an 'invisible wall stopping access from jumping over Hammond's fence'
But no such wall exists, if you can in fact stack crates high enough you can jump over his wall just fine. Now getting back out? That might be a challenge...

I got to say I don't like the hosts of this podcast, they have such low energy and keep asking these vague, open-ended questions. Thankfully Tony had more energy and was able to to come up with interesting answers.

I'm not completely sure, but I think there was a tiny little space where you could squeeze in between and go OOB... I need to go back to that, I used to go around the levels looking for such spots.

It was funny to hear how you could fall through the world. I do not believe that happens for us, at least not through the ground?

Re: Tony Rowe Interview At Dev Game Club
Perhaps at one point there were invisible boundary objects blocking the top of Hammond's wall, and the developers removed them in order to facilitate creative gameplay? The first time I played IT, I ended up stacking crates and jumping Wu's wall since I couldn't find the keycard.ThatZenoGuy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 7:56 amOhhhhh that could be it! Re: Tony Rowe Interview At Dev Game Club
It was so much fun trying to find those in the pre-TresView/TresEd days.
Edit: I also remember teleporting on top of bakers. Just guess the coordinates, make a death landing, note the coordinates and then reload a save. I remember walking on top of them in Industrial Jungle at the Para/Rex area. Good times.

Re: Tony Rowe Interview At Dev Game Club
I never figured out Wu's gate either so I used crates as well. I also never found the white keycard but manage to squeeze myself between the door and wall into his office.
Maybe the difference is that Hammond's house got crates inside that you could use to jump over the wall, while Wu's does not?

Re: Tony Rowe Interview At Dev Game Club
Is Hammond's wall and/or gate higher than Wu's? I feel like they are, like it's harder to use crates to get over there. But the gate is probably throwing me off. Or Wu's gate itself is lower than the actual wall?

Yeah, I know of the ones in the back to get out again. But I got the feeling getting in while using boxes is easier at Wu's than Hammond's. But the indentation of Hammond's gate door is probably throwing me off.ThatZenoGuy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 1:05 pm They're the same height but Wu's house has better crates to use to climb over the fence.

The walls are the same height, but I believe with Hammond's bigger house, you get the feeling the walls are higher than Wu's (at least to me).
