Xbox put out this multi-part documentary about the history of Xbox on YouTube called Power On: The Story of Xbox. It's very interesting stuff. As we all know, Seamus Blackley was the executive producer of Trespasser and then went on to work at Microsoft where he had a major role in the development of the original Xbox console. Trespasser is brought up in the series in Chapter 2, around the 24 minute mark:

I'll watch this during the weekend. I know Xbox did help Seamus a lot with the recovery from Trespasser.

Pretty neat. The guy with the grey shirt is Seamus right? He looks a lot different. Nice to see Tres in a widely-seen thing once more. Hmm I didn't realize the point about gaming sites being new at the time, and so they weren't prepared for such negative backlash. That does put a particular flavor in the events of the release.
