IJ Swamp

Found this image of an actual swamp plank. Pretty neat. Who wants to find the affordable hotels in the area?

Hmm nice, does look similar to the concept art for the walkway.

Also not going to lie but the fact I was just working on this area last night has me a little suspicious Drac

The rats from the swamp shack were muttering things as they passed by the other night, I must have subconsciously used their words as reference.

We have a small spot in my city that has this. It is pretty fun to walk on those walkways. :)

So... this one is supposed to be on a swamp and not a forest?

Internet connection was crap so I wasn't able to post it earlier. (Looked at it again and apparently I cut off the dead trees)

Hmmm, that one is barely visible. But I still wonder what the other one is supposed to be for.

yeah looks like it, the walkway there is only four boards wide plus the posts on either side. And if you look in the bottom right corner it looks like there water with the bridge having a sort of reflection. Plus there's that dead tree I mentioned cutting off, you can barely see where the trees end right below the horse shoe images.

Maybe it is a swamp in a forest? As we never got any really official concept arts like this from a dev, it is difficult to know when they were drawn. They could for all we know be drawn long before they had written a script for the game.
And it still bugs me how little concept arts appears to be surviving for the game.

It very well could be, the walkthrough mentions two swamp like areas, IJ2 and PV. The latter of the two is only described as being similar to the one in IJ but with
more, though fewer humps of land sticking out of the water
Hmm I wonder, anyway there's no mention of a road at all in this section and those planks found in the basement do bear a good resemblance to the concept pic, though some assembly is required :yum:.

the swamp planks always remind me of the lake from The Lost World Arcade Game.

I like to pretend that there was enough coordination between all the JP video game teams that it was intentional.

So there are a number of concept art images for Tres that we only have as backgrounds from things with text ontop of them. I cleaned this one up a bit to help see what they looked like. Apparently this magazine page had a second image at the top; it appears to show the basic Hunter Jeep with the Alberto who took a bite out of it.
