Build 97 Pickable Flower in retail IJ Loading Screen
Hi, not sure if this has been posted before, I couldn’t see it. I noticed the floating pickable flower head from Build 97’s Industrial Jungle is still in the loading screen image in Build 116’s Industrial Jungle. (As seen below). Despite being removed completely from the retail game.
It’s floating in front of the volcanic spring’s rock on the right of the image, as it’s found in Build 97. (Build 97 below).

Welcome
Cool, not sure I've ever noticed. Loading times aren't nearly as long as they were back then.
Trashcans that are in earlier builds (with lids) are also still in the loading screen for Lab. Though not sure it was the can that held a purple keycard.

Welcome to TresCom!
That is a neat find. You have a good eye. I don't think I personally ever analysed the loading screen images.

That is a particularly unlikely, valuable discovery, that was likely never to be discovered. Well done.

"I see it." [said Sarah]

"The box is in backward. Flip all the switches the other way. Are you dry?"
"No, Doc. I'm soaking wet, lying in the damn mud."

Yes, the possibility to pick up a flower was possible, it was probably supposed to be a beautiful demonstration for the E3 show.
It can even be seen on the record. time = (1:17:06)

I haven't thought about that they already had the box art done back at E3.

Re: Build 97 Pickable Flower in retail IJ Loading Screen
Yes, seems like the pickable flower was just set up for the E3 show. But the "Secrets (Used and Unused)" document shows there was a plan to repurpose the model into a secret pickable flower for the final game. It would have raised a dinosaur’s love factor when hitting them with it, and only been a temporary item.
I kind of fell down the rabbit hole researching this, but I put it all together into a video if anyone’s interested.
