ChronZerg Research Lab (Blizzard - June 07, 2007)

Post by chronzerg »

I have wanted to do this. This is going to be the thread where I post up all the research I have made in Trespasser. I am doing so much experimenting, why let it all go to waste.

April 25, 2007

Here is something many of the experienced level creators have probably done. A raptor has fallen off the ledge, and well...you'll see what happens. Follow the link to watch the video.

Well, what happens with annes is that you just appear up on top, have way into the ground. You dont rise up for stretch (unless your hand gets caught in the gorund and you keep falling).

ATX is the fazizle (forget I said that). I used the ATX recording with 640x480 and 15 frames per second. It recorded 16bit per frame.

edit1:

Blizzard June 07, 2007

I was trying to make a "fake" fog system, and ended up making something that reminded me of a Blizzard.

Video 1 (My first attempt)

Video 2 (Slightly improved from the first attempt)

Enjoy.

The problem with TC_Isle rain is that it is render heavy and will bog down your FPS. ATX2.0 allows you to generate much more render-friendly rain.

They did make rain. Didn't you download the Tc Test Zone. That level has rain. In fact, I used the that instance, just retextureed.

Yeah that's what I was referring to. I meant it didn't end up in the final beta version.

Ah yeah rain is something we should add to TC_Isle Final ;) That and those cloud thingies...

Oh and the blizzard looks interesting. Could be used in a future NPC release with a little fine-tuning. :)
