making the retail levels "new"
So i'm in a rut as far as making new levels go. I'm struggling to come up with new puzzles and triggers so I had another idea. I'm going to take the retail levels, "rearrange" them a bit, probably create some entirely new areas too . I want to attempt to make better puzzles and new challenges. the level layout will be different but the general progression and voiceovers for each level will be similar to the retail versions. I'm looking forward to expanding the beach level and upping the difficulty. it'll be like trespasser's master quest like ocarina of time.

Trespasser Master Quest, sounds good to me. I've been down this road before and wish you luck. There are plenty of big, open areas which are unpopulated in the retail levels which could be put to use.
One source of inspiration might be the abandoned "Reloaded" mod. A couple of levels from it were released in unfinished form, but it would be neat to see your own spin on the idea.

I once had an idea where the Trespasser levels could be rearranged using the terrain from Guam island, progressing from North to South, IIRC...

This idea sounds interesting! I am hoping that some level sequences might be re-arranged.. perhaps go from IJ into PV and back into IT, or something. Just a thought.
