I made this small write up for creating new levels a while back. I cleaned it up for posting.

It is based on Draconisaurus's video series. I apologize to Draconisaurus for copying his video series and posting something based on it but that loud noise(you all know what im talking about hehe) was driving me crazy, and making my family hate my pc ;). I made this for myself but wanted to share it for new level creators, and anyone that just wants a quick go to for new base levels. If I'm overstepping my boundaries by posting this please let me know. I just think it can help new authors. I tried to make it very user friendly. I try to document everything I learn on this site for future reference. Its a habit.

For this you will need Tres_Twilight_v1_final. Or equivalent.

Run Shell_GenV5.exe.

Name your level.

Delete your level .wtd file that it generates.

Move TrnPlacement-00.values.txt to Import_Terrain folder.

Copy name of texture, TJPBaset2.bmp(or any of your choosing from the folder), to TrnPlacement-00.tpm under colormap.

Copy Flat.wtd, rename to level name. TeromenLVL1.wtd in my case.

Copy level files to game folder(.grf, .scn, .wtd, .pid, .swp). In my case => E:\TrespasserEditing\Game

GeomAdd.exe => import file. Click on your map file.

01. Add Shell Generator\Import_Terrain\TrnPlacement-00.tpm
02. Add Shell Generator\Import_Vocals\Dinos - Tres.tpm
03. Add Shell Generator\Import_Vocals\Player - Tres.tpm
04. Add Shell Generator\Import_Player\Anne116\Anne.tpm

Copy name of sky file, Shell Generator\Import_Sky\Sky_PV128.bmp, open
Shell Generator\Import_Sky\sky.tpm, paste name.
05. Add Shell Generator\Import_Sky\sky.tpm
06. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\7 - AS1.tpm
07. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\ParticleEffects.tpm
08. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\Teleport_Start.tpm
09. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\TriggerCube.tpm
10. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\TriggerSphere.tpm
11. Add Shell Generator\Import_Base\WaterEntity.tpm

GeomAdd.exe => import folder

12. Add Shell Generator\Import_TrnObjs\Basic\ any file

Open TresEd.exe. You need to move Anne to the level area, where you will start in the level. Click the red $ button(show $ objects, physics) in TresEd. Find and click on the anne model(arms and chest).
Should be right in front of you. Move the camera to point where you want to place Anne. Press crt-w to place her on terrain. Make sure her lower bounding box( dark green) is above the ground.

You are done. Edit to your hearts content. In game(I use CE edition, regular doesn't default to loading custom levels) press and hold ctr-alt-q-w, then release w. Click on map name and hit load. You should start in the game.

Heh cool. And well that noise was bothersome and is not in the second video, after I figuerd out that deleting the sound file from the app's folder made it stop...

And I think you for the video Draconisaurus. It got me started 4 years ago. ;)

Reading my posts from back then its obvious I've learned a bit lol. I came off as ignorant and kind of dreamy/optimistic.

Oh, wasn't "that annoying sound" on the video meant to be Drac's voice, then...? ;)

Oh I think that applies to the majority of us. Specially for those discovering the game later than the people who was here in the really early days. ;)

Well I bought it in 98 or 99 but I never got around to editing for it. Back then I was too intimidated and/or preoccupied to touch anything but the Build and Unreal engines. As far as the forum though, yea, I'm a relative newbie. It is one of my favorite games of all time though. Up there with Warcraft 2, 007 Goldeneye, WCW revenge, Mario 3, etc.
