What I am looking for is the buildings and fences since I want to create a operation genesis game but you can walk through the park and stuff. I wanted this since I saw this video a long time ago...

Have thought of doing the same myself before. You could even make the park "buildable" by using some sort of menu interface, but there would be a crapton of scripting involved...lots of teleporting and variables everywhere, I would think.

But yeah, like Draco and I said, you need to export them to .TPM with the TPM exporter that is included in Tres Twilight or found on the main site's Download Section. There's also an importer for JPOG format models included so you can pretty much convert anything you want. It should however be noted that the stock JPOG models have fairly low-res textures, particularly some of the larger buildings, so those might look bad when imported.

I have also thought of an interface like that when I heard about guiapp and grabbing dinosaurs in them, what I would like to do is see these dinosaurs in cages or out in the wild with no Trespassers.

Oh so there is a full jpog to .tpm on the mainsite? i'll be sure to check that out.
And speaking about lower res, I was actually worried they would be too high res for trespasser :P

Btw, don't forget to REPLACE the textures when you have fixed, by replacing the mesh when you reimport the object. Deleting the object from the level doesn't remove the textures from the SWP file.

Thank you Tatu.

Edit: but I still need 3ds max to import and export those files so maybe just try to find a download for a 3ds versiong of the stuff and if that fails then go with draco's suggestion.

*checks* The maxscript "ImportTMD.ms" is located in Trespasser Twilight (see sig) in the \MaxScripts directory, btw.

No I meant I needed the actual 3ds max. But I actually just downloaded the scripts and they work fine in gmax so now I gotta just find what I need and save. Does it include textures cause I think I read that the textures are in another format and I don't know if gmax imports it.

Can't help you on how to extract things from OG... Obviously somewhere there's a tool to extract OG textures in some format. Max supports several... for Tres of course you'll want to make them into 256-color 8-bit BMP versions.

JPOG's textures are in DDS format and are stored in TML files. You can easily extract the textures in DDS format with a program called Dragon UnPACKer, which you can get from SourceForge or from the lead programmer's web site. You can also extract the textures from the TML files to BMP format using ConvertCCT.

It's been a while since I messed with JPOG models, but I think you will need to import the textures manually into 3DS Max/Gmax.

So I got the textures applied and everything but when I do gmaxslgrab to export it to .tpm I get this in the file I created.

Never had that problem before, and I've used Gmax, 3DS Max 8 and 3DS Max 2015 to export the models. Did you convert it to an Editable Mesh before exporting?

:D I downloaded 3ds max and I applied the textures and got it to work!

As you can see the textures were missing a little bit but I think a little bit of that is because the people that created jpog never meant for the player to look under the buildings. Have not played it yet but I will put it up for download so others may test at will. I will try to get the other stuff including the cars and helicopters.

Edit: I played it in a level and it worked but still need help on that balloon station. refer back to the top of this post.

Nope, that's definitely some sort of bug I think. The black textures are definitely something wrong with the sidewalk texture. As for the holes in the bottom, it does appear as if they never intended people to see them. Did those bottom surfaces appear in 3DS Max at all?

I never looked underneath the structure but the black lines were because I didn't texture them which is grey in 3ds max but black in the tresed. But I am still having truoble uploading the other models to either one tresed level or multiple, I can't figure out why.
