If you have not already done so, download and install the ATX patch. That should solve your problems.

My Antivirus (AVIRA) is reading this as 3 Viruses. So what should I do?

Get a different antivirus, for instance...

I can't, it has never failed to i.d. a virus or otherwise for some time now.

I already tried switching compatablity to WIN 98, 95 and such and it still doesn't play sound.

Tell your antivirus it is wrong and to allow those three files. ATX uses a hook method to load routines via a customized DLL file which only a few very picky (and stupid Antivirus if you ask me) will detect as illegal virus activities. Get AVG or Avast, never failed me. and they don't cry about the tiniest of things.

That's what I hate about anti-virus programs. Mine actually deletes the file automatically, sometimes never telling you. They hog up the CPU too.

A quote from Draco's FAQ:
>>I can't hear anything and cutscenes play really fast!

You have two options. You can use Big Red's ATX hack to disable detection of the proper DLL needed for the EAX audio environments, or you can simply download this, place it in your main Trespasser directory, and it should work fine.
(I wish it was a quote from Steps to Trespassing, we'll see.)

That is the best solution to your problem.

(I moved this thread out of the FAQ forum, not the proper place for it.)

I had this problem when I was little, and I also remember there being an easy solution for it. But I can't remember anymore. :S But I got it work even without the ATX, so that's not the only solution. I remember it was something really simple, maybe even hardware related(?)

Replacing the A3D.dll, IIRC.
