"Failed to detect local processor. Do you want to continue?"

Post by Dinosaurus »

I recently downloaded the ATX2 patch for trespasser. I followed all of the instructions but whenever I launch the game a message pops up reading "Failed to detect local processor. Do you want to continue?" If I click yes the game will start fine. But to prevent future problems can somebody tell me how to fix it? I'm sorry about all the threads I've been posting and I hope you guys arn't getting sick of me :| .

Hmm, that's strange. :P Probably Tres not liking the non-'98 hardware, I'd imagine. At least the game starts and runs fine; certainly one of the least irritating errors I've come across.
Although I'm no expert, I'd imagine there's not much you can do about this, although you may (people who know more about this than me would be useful here) be able to edit some config to either stop this error coming up/making it ignored, or stopping the check from happening, although I have no idea what you'd do to do that.
