Building database for JWE
Hi all,
I'm making a mod for JWE based on Burroughs, see my work here.
https://www.nexusmods.com/jurassicworld ... ?tab=posts
I've done this primarily by memory, but I would like to, perhaps in the future, add more buildings.
Who can provide me with an exterior inventory of every building ingame ? (perferably pictures from every angle) I believe we don't have it yet ...
Cheers,
John

Re: Building database for JWE
Instead of using reference pictures to recreate these buildings, why not just export and modify the models from Trespasser level using TresEd, or better yet, from hppav's Town Level?
Re: Building database for JWE
Thanks great suggestion !
How do I load stock game levels ? I only see .spz files on the disk, no spw.
Best,
John

Oh, good luck on the project. Keep us updated. I haven't gotten around to try the game myself yet, I got it when it was free on Epic Store.
Get SWPz -> https://www.trescom.org/download/swpz/ and drag-and-drop the SPZ files on the EXE to convert them to SWP. This is the quickest way. The other way would be to load the level in-game and move the SWP created in the main game folder. This way is slower however, as you would need to load level, exit game, move file, do next level.

Re: Building database for JWE
The textures in Trespasser are at the most 256x256, and it is likely the texture in the game is much higher, even the lowest resolution ones. So it is probably more likely to how the game renders them.

It's fun for about a week or two. It would be more enjoyable if they put more into scenery and park design features. for the most part you can just put down fences that contain dinos and lay paths around them. gets old pretty quicktatu wrote:Oh, good luck on the project. edit: sounds like this mod can help make the game more interesting
Re: Building database for JWE
Agreed, got it on my Xbox originally, but after the disappointing "return to Jurassic Park" DLC I kind of lost interest , feels so wrong that you couldn't use the scenery items at least. Like having a derelict visitor and raptor paddock. Have it on my PC now and aside from a few new animals and skins i would love to see more scenery items like vehicles, bones, buildings and...stuffmorningstarring wrote:It would be more enjoyable if they put more into scenery and park design features.

Re: Building database for JWE
Looking good, only thing I would suggest is maybe add some shutters to the windows. The glass just feels odd to me but could be the lighting.
Re: Building database for JWE
unfortunately I placed the windows too close to each other, so shutters would 'overlap' if I would make them the correct size .
I added some squares to break the glass.
