Using Open in the name indicate it tries to recreate the engine and use the OG file formats.
Point 1:
The two political camps in the free software community are the free software movement and open source. The free software movement is a campaign for computer users' freedom; we say that a nonfree program is an injustice to its users. The open source camp declines to see the issue as a matter of justice to the users, and bases its arguments on practical benefits only.
While LibreTres would be more accurate in the gaming community jargon it's says I'm doing It's campaigning for users' freedom. while OpenTres says I'm
Point 2:
OpenTres isn't a gaming project what happens to be FLOSS it's a FLOSS project that happens to be a game.

I'm not sure I want to allow "Open" to take on a meaning that isn't related to the "Open" in "Open standards", "Open science", or "Open software"
I guess I could be clever and name it "OpwnTres"
