Welcome to trecom, Isolt. The only game bug that still annoys me some is getting stuck, but that actually doesn't happen to me all that often. The biggest flap over this game was the arm; personally I think it was genius. 20 years later and I'm still playing with this game.

Thanks Rebel.
The arm was definitely a novel interface! I though it was immersive and intuitive. Interfaces hadn't really standardised and I feel there was a lot more room for innovation than there is now.
Interestingly with VR it look like arms might be back, maybe trespasser was just 20 years too early!

There's a dude who made a (Unity? Unreal?) VR-Tres level where you can see your arms and all that, pretty nifty.

I feel like Trespasser is still early. While Trespasser didn't manage to get it to work properly, we still don't have a proper game where AI acts based on their behaviour. Most AI is still scripted in some way.

My first playing Trespasser is a long time ago. I was 3 years old in 2001, when my uncle got his first scrapped office computer Windows98, not much but we played on the PC the first games. ColinMcraeRally 2.0 , Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , Trespasser. I was still a little capart and I didn't understand how computers run. And that was the reason why I didn't know what the game was, and that I could jump in the game. I think it was a standard jumping in any games using "Spacebar" (for Tresspasser it is the Q key), That made me never jump over the rock on the start level beach. :D I never left the place and saw any dinosaur or gun. That's why the game fell into oblivion for me. But after some years when I discovered the quality of games from years 1999 - 2005. In one day 17. 4. 2016 i watch on YT video and saw a game that reminded me of the beginning level (beach). And when I found out what the game is, how incredible it is, what innovation it have. I fell in love :o

And I had to search my uncle's old drawer where I found the game CD

And now Trespasser is my third most popular game forever :D

Hello Melber. I am afraid I, and likely the others here, cannot see your image. Visiting the URL as a tab displays the message "This site can’t provide a secure connection". Perhaps the image can be attached to a post?

Oh nice! I've seen that on Ebay. It would've been cool to get the original files for some of these ads, specially without any text or images on them. :)

I have no issue viewing it. In any case, I'll attach it to this post for you.

Welcome to Trespasser Island... Many were indeed frustrated with the game at the time it came out. Technology has come a long way, both for playing the original game with stability and better graphics, and for creating new and in some ways better content for it. Do have a look around to see what TresCom.org has to show.
