Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Everything installed fine and Trespasser CE is working. But, I noticed that there was an option to store two items instead of one.
Patch notes:
- option to stow two weapons/items at once (one in the belt and one on the back)
How do you do this in-game? Is it automatically enabled? Because there seems to not be a option for it in the trespasser.ini file.

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
I believe you hold down the "Rotate wrist" or "rotate arm" key when you push the "stow/retrieve" key. That way, Anne will store one item in her belt and one on her back, depending on where they are able to be stored (so you can't store two pistols at once nor can you store two rifles, but you can store a pistol and a rifle together). You can pick which one you want to equip by using the same combo with the items on your belt, too.How do you do this in-game? Is it automatically enabled? Because there seems to not be a option for it in the trespasser.ini file.
Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Smaller items such as hand guns, rocks, key cards etc are stowed in her belt. Larger items such as shotguns and sledgehammers are placed on her back.

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Cool! That is a great feature, because I always wanted to be able to store two items or weapons and still have another weapon or item in my hands. Thanks!

Ehm... sorry, but you can only store 1 item regardless of its size You can hold 1 item, store one item and switch between them.
Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Hilwo, with CE you can now stow 1 large item and 1 small item at the same time, while holding a third item in your hand...Hilwo wrote:Ehm... sorry, but you can only store 1 item regardless of its size You can hold 1 item, store one item and switch between them.
(Or at least, you're supposed to be able to do it, I haven't tried.)

It works. However, I think you have to enable it in the .ini file.

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Do you know what setting in the .ini file? Because I looked everywhere in the .ini file and I couldn't find the setting. I think it is automatically enabled in-game, but I am not sure.tatu wrote:It works. However, I think you have to enable it in the .ini file.

Under "General", add:DennisNedry wrote:Do you know what setting in the .ini file? Because I looked everywhere in the .ini file and I couldn't find the setting. EnableDualStow=True
Code: Select all
; Enable ability to have two objects stowed, one in the belt and one on the back, while having a free hand.
; The Stow/Retrieve action has some additional functionality in this mode. If the object currently held in
; the hand can be stowed in a free slot, back or belt depending on object, then holding the Rotate Arm or
; Rotate Wrist key while pressing Stow/Retrieve will act as Stow-only, so that you end up with all objects
; stowed and an empty hand.
; If you have two stowed objects and an empty hand, then holding the Rotate Arm or Rotate Wrist key while
; pressing Stow/Retrieve will retrieve the object from the back, otherwise it will retrieve the object
; from the belt.
; In all other cases everything works as usual.

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Alright! I will try this as soon as I can. Thanks! So just to clarify, I have to add this option, it's not in the .ini file by default?

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
I am using the trespasser.ini and I didn't realize this but it was right in front of my face. It is already entered into the .ini file under general and it is set to true already. Problem solved!

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
Depends on which .ini file from CE you are using. Did you use the trespasser.ini that came with CE (the one in the doc folder), it should be there, otherwise no.DennisNedry wrote:Alright! Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
I have sort of a weird problem. I tried using the quicksave key and it doesn't save where I can load it. I don't even get any indication that it did save at all. Also the stowing of two weapons doesn't work and I know that EnableDualStow is set to true. Using the quicksave key setting is set to true as well. Why won't it work?

Re: A new Trespasser patch/update (Trespasser CE)
I figured out what the problem was. There was a typo in the original .ini file, shown here:
I also noticed that when a ; is in front, Trespasser CE ignores settings. I found this out when I looked at the trespasser logs.
Was this intentional? If so should I leave the DirectX9 settings alone? Thanks!
