'PLACEHOLDER VOCAL'. I don't know if it's the correct sample name, but that's what I have it down as -
That is very likely to be correct. Mainly as the name is to clear to be random, and I know Draco program had something like that. :)

It's fun to see other people discovering specific things that I've forgotten I did in the distant past..

Well, that one was already identified long ago, so why wasn't it listed?
Originally, it points to that basketball sound you hear when some animal has a missing vocal cube... looks like Drac replaced it with a different sound.
The listing is complete, then. Except for the ones still missing from the Dreamworks listings.

I imagine it just got mistakenly omitted during the various merging of the sndids file. so, we're
all good now.

Below, in the attachment, most likely the last update to the player (4.0.9.13):
Changes:

Updated SndIds.dat file now Ids many sounds from various fan levels including, JPDS, East Dock,
et cetera, thanks to tatu, machf and Draco helping out with this. ;)
New menu option to extract all .tpa entries as wav files
New menu option (Updater_): adds listing to SndIds.dat file when new sounds are imported into
a .tpa file (simply toggle cntl (eg. 1 click option is on, 1 click it's off).
Enhanced Play_Wav function: You can now save an externally played audio file. Added support
for various audio to play (eg. aiff, au, and a handful of others).
Updated HelpFiles Accordingly (they'll have a more in-depth explanation of all player functions)

*Since no one likes installers, this version released is in portable version only -

Thanks Rebel 8) The list of Tres utilities grows. I feel like, by 2020, that was not guaranteed to be the case, years ago...

Yeah, um, toss that version away, Draco. I forgot to fix a damn bug inside of the select wav dialog box for the play_wav
function. It mistakenly allows you to choose a .cau file and not the assigned audio files. It don't affect the program any,
it simply won't play using the play wav, but I want to rectify that anyways. Believe it or not, missing just one period mark
(.) in-between the selected audio list causes it. (I really should keep my glasses on at all times!).

I'll repost the corrected zip above shortly (Done)

So, the version I just happened to download attached to your previous post is flawed? Or did you already replace it?

No, the one you just downloaded (490.13) is good, machf. The one I removed was ver. 490.12. You
have the correct download.

Hey, Rebel, I just checked and therre are several sound names from my updated listings which are missing from yours... haven't you been able yet to just open my .odt or .xls listings with OpenOffice Calc and export each page as a .csv (comma-separated values, plain ASCII text) file?

Yeah, I downloaded a free program to open and read them, machf. I thought I got them all; can't you post those
few I'm missing?

machf, I went through all the files you emailed me and the ones listed below are what I found. I'll
add them into the SndIds.dat file later.

btw, I was thinking that perhaps we should just omit the listings that are 'unknown' since the prog.
will list them as unknown anyways. Unless we relabel them something like;

Dreamworks sample (unknown)
unknown sample

Any opinions on this? The latter would just be for fan sounds and any hash we may have missed.
I think I got all the official unknowns now, but it's possible I still may have missed a few.

@tatu: don't upload a final version of the player until we're all in agreement that the SndIds file is
as complete as possible. Afterwards, I'll then post a tpa player 4.0.9.14 version -

I haven't uploaded it yet as we are still working on the database hehe.
I'd say don't include any "unknown" in the database. If you export for example Effects.TPA, it means all unknowns will replace each other. I think exporting them with their CRC name would be a better option, at least for us super hardcore diggers. :P

Well, no, the program's export function doesn't work that way, tatu. If a sample is unknown it exports
with the loaded tpa's name and its index number. (eg. effects_238, effects_317, and so on ). So, no
unknowns are ever overwritten -

*For the record, I vote to remove all the unknown from the SndIds myself. They really don't serve any
purpose being listed.

Work is progressing nicely... What are these specific "unknown" labels? I don't understand, are they listed this way inside the TPA files?
I see old TPA versions of sound names, there... Quite interesting! I'll have to listen to some of those. "WATERFALL 2", there you are........

Unknowns are the ones we don't have the ID for.

Oh my mistake!

Same. I don't see any reason for them to be in there if we don't know their ID.
