Troodon, I can't believe you found that! I looked for days for a downloadable version of 8 and could never find one! Did you do a search or run across it out of luck? You've provided an invaluable service! Thanks! :D

The good news: it works, if you also install the required libs (see wp8-libs below on that page).

The bad news: it comes with its own fonts, no TTFs, and new fonts cannot be added because the font installation utility is missing in the "free" version. Anyone have the wp6-wp7-wp8 xwpfi utility? :)

How ARE the fonts? They look pretty good in the 9.0 boxed version but probably won't work with 8.0 as 9.0 runs via wine.

They're just T1s; Times 14 is okay. Unlike Corel PhotoPaint 9 for Linux, WP8 is a native Linux application (I don't have winex or an equivalent installed).
