Running WordPerfect

Post by Dapper Dan »

I'm having a problem running WordPerfect on my home computer that I havn't run into on 3 other computers where I've installed it. I don't think it's the program, but rather the problem may have something to do with permissions.
I can run it as Root and everything works perfectly. I've changed the permissions to where anyone can use it. When I try to run in Konsole as user, the WP splashscreen comes up, then quickly goes away. I cannot get it to run as user even though I think I've changed the necessary permissions. :(
Any ideas??
Thanks.

I figured it out. Corel made an un-install tool which I used several times when trying to do new install. It works pretty good, except it doesn't eliminate a hidden file that I found in my Home directory, ".WPO2000".
Once I deleted it and did another install, everything started working right!
