Remdul's Art

Post by chronzerg »

Ever since I met Remdul, I thought he was pretty cool. Once I began to get to know his work, I thought he was awesome. And once I saw his site, and the other junk there, I now think he is radical. Sorry for the praise Remdul, but I thought the community should see some of this awesome stuff you have made.

All this is by Remdul

-He can paint (digitally):

Unless he is lyin, he painted this digitally.

and this

and this is rendered in 3dsmax

Also, he has done some sick models here

U know, the people like Remdul and Big Red should have their own plage here at trescom (we cant forget madppiper or Rebel)

I've seen those. Yes, Remdul is by far the most talented member as far as Computer Graphics goes.

Ever since day one, he was TresCom's resident modeler. Obviously he was responsible for many of the models seen in the TresCom levels, and I believe he also designed the Tres website and graphics.

He's pretty much the one who inspired me to start modeling myself. Too bad he isn't around very often these days.

i too can model really good, but if werent for the low ram i would have done mcuh better.

like i said he must have a really good computer to be able to render anything like that.

i wonder if he sells any models, graphics as good as that could be worth alot.

Yep, was just pointing out the fact that that picture of the aircraft carrier is similar enough to BF1942 to fool you at first glance, even if you've played the game often (like me :D )

I remember him mentioning being influenced by a Medal of Honor artist as well...

Whatever the case, Remdul - you are super talented! Come back and spend some time with your TresCom buds!

I too like Remduls art a lot. He can paints beautiful scenes without overstating them too much and that is what I appreciate in art.

Nope, doesn't take a high end comp, in fact most of you probably have a comp thats faster than mine. Trick is to use your resources efficiently (check out the 'making of' on that).

I wouldn't agree with the last, mp keeps the stuff running these days and without Rebel our levels wouldn't have been possible at the first place.
Too bad he isn't around very often these days.
To busy with more of that ol' good stuff. You'll like it. :-)

Very much indeed. I painted those during a photoshopping-spree, each piece painted in less than 10 hours. It was exhausting, and I'm nowhere near satisfied with each, but it was fun.
And btw, those paintings are based on levels from the Forgotten Hope mod for BF42. Play it, its good.
