Draconisaurus wrote:Thanks guys. I did actually miss some buildings due to space restriction heh, also for some reason I always miss-remember there as being two of those barracks buildings in the back. And yeah it's done from memory.
There is a bungalow on the other side of the road, maybe that is what is messing with your mind? :D

Heh yes. And a buildingless TrnObj also. The whole area is a bit odd since it has the added "landslide".

Draconisaurus wrote:Alright then, so I've been busy doing various artworks, and finally this one was finished: a view of Burroughs from the end of IJ. I took a bit of liberty in places, including leaving out the powerlines for the sake of not covering everything up. I look forward to more Tres paintings over time. (Wishing the artists of some of the art on the mainpage were still around!)
You selling? ;)

So a while back I had a pencil sketchbook where I ended up doing mostly Tres images. But most weren't in any particular consistent style with each other, just Tres things I could manage to think up. So my next sketchbook, I have given it some parameters, such as a common theme for each page, and and almost archtectural approach, and all in pen. I'm fairly pleased with how it's turned out. Some examples below.

Soooo I wanted to release these for the Trespasser 24th anniv, but was sick as a dog. Instead, here's my birthday gift to you guys - a look at a portion of the sketches I've been putting together.

I find those "concept" drawings for puzzles/locations particularily interesting. The spare pipe ladder is a great idea, you'd need some excuse for them to stay in place, though...maybe welding them on or something.
The truck ram idea was something I'd thought of for RTJP as well, allowing a Jeep to roll down a hill and smash through a gate. Would look really cool I think - someone definitely has to do that in a level eventually. Also wanted to do a similar puzzle except this time you need to get a triceratops to do the same using some sort of item to distract it, like a flare (TresGuy ended up doing this in his most recent level with a pachycephalosaur).

Thanks TI.
Sending a car spiraling down a hillside into a door sounds great, never thought of it... Also your Trike idea is already planned for TresCom20.

Wow, I can already see a great level of improvement over when you started. I especially like the accuracy and perspective of the pens image. Also interesting that you did the Dam in the Plains with the fence in front of it...I'd never really thought much of what that fence might have looked like but I like that idea.
