Preface

This thread is for writing and discussing the story for Jurassic Park Oblivion, The Traitor, and The Madison Incident.

Jurassic Park Oblivion is the current set of levels in development and complete mod project.
The Traitor is a single level prequel expansion to JPO that places you in the role of a JPO character during the events of the movie Jurassic Park, specifically during the tropical storm.
The Madison Incident, formerly known as "Resident Dino," is the final chapter in the story, a resolution of sorts. How large the project is will be something decided while I'm working on The Traitor.

Characters for Jurassic Park Oblivion
Jill Kennedy-The player character of JPO. After the events of Jurassic Park, InGen and the United States Government in cooperation with the Costa Rican Government and the United States Coast Guard place a quarantine on the island and cover up the events of Jurassic Park. Jill and her friend Ricky go to Isla Nublar to find evidence that can blow the whole case open but things aren't as they seem.
Ricky King-Jill's friend who helps the player throughout the first level but mysteriously disappears. The manner of his disappearance will be covered later.
Lewis Dodgson-Head of the Research and Development Department at BioSyn. He comes to the island to retrieve dinosaurs from the island to make up for the money he lost to the failed deal with Nedry

Characters for The Traitor
Ricky King-The player character for The Traitor. He is working at the Auxiliary Control Room when the park descends into chaos.
Dennis Nedry-Programmer for Jurassic Park hired by Dodgson to steal embryos from Isla Nublar.
First Mate (aka Draco in East Dock)-Nedry's contact on board the SS Anne B.

Characters for The Madison Incident
Jill Kennedy-After finally getting out of the indefinite detaining in Costa Rica, Jill goes home to the city of Madison, which happens to have a branch of the BioSyn Corporation. Soon all hell breaks loose and the city is evacuated and locked down. Jill becomes trapped and finds out quickly she is not alone.
Richard Levine-Scientist sent in by the US Government to assess the situation. Has been abandoned in the city. Provides assistance to Jill as she makes her way through the city.
Lewis Dodgson-Head of RandD at BioSyn, trying to escape the city with a collection of DNA samples from all of the dinosaurs collected from Nublar.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level One-The Visitor Center Complex
Jill is a former employee of InGen who worked on Isla Nublar during the events of Jurassic Park. The US Government, InGen, the US Coast Guard, and the Costa Rican Government have all instituted a coverup of the InGen Incident and Jill wishes to blow it wide open. Her friend, Ricky King, also worked on Nublar and his first day was on the night of the events of Jurassic Park. He was going to go himself but couldn't remember where the Island was exactly. He drops Jill off at a small maintenance dock near the island's Safari Lodge and Welcome Center complex. He keeps in touch via a walkie and keeps the boat beyond the quarantine zone to prevent the Coast Guard from suspecting anything.

Jill makes her way deeper into the park, eventually reaching the Visitor Center Complex. The windmill plant is operational but doesn't power the fences, The generator is used only to power the breakers and then it switches to the windmill plant to save gasoline. And since the generator and breakers are shut down, the windmill plant isn't sending power anywhere. Locked out due to the lack of power , she uses the manual override to get inside. Once inside she heads to the maintenance shed to turn the power back on to enable her to continue through the park and get data off of the computers. After restarting the generator and resetting the island's breakers, she looses contact with Ricky and proceeds to get the park back online except for two power plants, necessary for opening up the park itself. She heads to a maintenance tunnel that would lead to the Hydroelectric plant and a location known as the Visitor Village.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level Two-The Visitor Village
Once she reaches the end of the tunnel, she finds a doorway leading to an area behind a waterfall. Peering out she sees a large ship go by. On the ship are various pieces of equipment and vehicles. She throws an override lever which unlocks the doors that enable her to exit the tunnel at ground level. She ends up at a small collection of shops, restaurants, bungalows (as well as a Wal-Mart Jurassic Center :P), called the Visitor Village. In the main building she finds out how to gain access to the Hydroelectric plant. Once at the plant she activates it by flipping some breakers and resetting the computer. This turns on the power to the southern end of the island, permitting access to the Island's Geothermal Plant. As she starts making her way, several vehicles drive past her at high speeds. She ducks and they continue on, ignoring her. She looks around and finds that one of them dropped a storage box. She picks it up and finds the logo of BioSyn, InGen's rival. She continues on to the Geo Plant so she can get all the power back on and call out to stop BioSyn from leaving with dinosaurs.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level Three-The Geo Plant
She arrives at the Geo Plant and turns it on in a manner similar to Pine Valley's Geo Plant puzzle. Jill is knocked out and wakes up inside a maintenance facility known as the Water Works. She finds the door locked and a note on the table. "Sorry Jill but it was necessary. -Ricky." or something similar. She ponders why it was necessary to lock her up but soon finds a way out of the room through the vent shafts. She makes her way through the island's waterworks facility until she finds herself outside above the plains. She makes her way down knowing that at the other end of the plains is the Visitor Center and the means of calling out.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level Four-The Plains
Jill starts making her way through the island's Safari Zone. She can hear sounds of dinosaurs getting captured and jeeps speeding along in the distance. She approaches a lake (the one from the beginning of the movie) and finds a flipped jeep. No one is inside it or anywhere near it and she looks through it, finding a letter from Dodgson saying "Our contact Ricky will take us to the location of the island. He will dispose of his partner once we arrive on site. Set up camp as soon as you can. -Dodgson." She makes her way to the Gas Jeep tour road, which leads to the Visitor Center and finds an abandoned shuttle van (The same van from East Dock, 09, but with a newer less crappy model). She makes her way up to the Visitor Center Compound.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level Five-The Park
Biosyn is nowhere to be seen. They are more interested in live dinosaurs than anything inside the visitor center. Jill makes her way inside and reboots the system. She calls InGen's San Jose office, the only line that still works, and lets them know what is going on. They tell her they are sending a helicopter and will contact the US Government for military intervention. They want her to sabotage the Biosyn camp first. She looks through the stuff she recovered from the jeep and finds a map with an X marking the location of the East Dock. She activates the Tour Program, turning on Explorers 06 and 07 and uses them to open the gates into the park itself. She follows the tour road up to the Rex Pen and follows the road that Malcolm, Muldoon, and Ellie took when outrunning the Rex to reach a gate leading out of the perimeter fence and to the shoreline and North Dock.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion, Level Six-Escape
She follows the shoreline to the East Dock where she sees the SS Anne B partially sunk just offshore and a collection of fuel barrels near a gas tower in the middle of the complex. She runs in, shooting at the barrels, causing them all to explode and she jumps into the ocean. The explosion destroys the vehicles and BioSyn agents scramble out of the buildings and run into the jungle. Jill swims into the Anne B through a hole blown into the ships hold, where she climbs out of the water and waits for a while before exiting the ship and continuing on towards the Helipad. She makes it to the helicopter after it lands and flies off, She see the ship leaving.

Story of Jurassic Park: Oblivion Level Seven-Endgame (The underwater complex level)
A BioSyn Agent spots the helicopter and shoots it down, causing it to crash into the ocean. Jill escapes and swims into an underwater facility meant for displaying underwater dinosaurs, which also contains a control room and genetics lab showroom that specializes in underwater animals. Parts of the facility are flooded and Jill must make her way through it to the surface level. Once there she has a final showdown with the person in charge of mission, Ricky. He's in a boat and starts leaving. Jill shots at him, disabling the engine and shooting a hole in the boat. He tries to bail it out but it fails so he tries to swim back to the facility when a large underwater dinosaur swallows him whole. The military shows up and escorts her back to Costa Rica where she is placed on indefinite detention.

The story for the next two parts will be decided later :P Please comment.

It was a private forum :P I wonder if that pissed off [redacted]

Obviously this is just a general overview, I'll tighten up the plot as I go through making each level.
