Re: Modding Helicopter with Rebel's Airboat Triggers

Just a friendly reminder to edit your last message instead of double-posting if nobody else posts before you have something to add, morningstarring! I combined your posts for you. :) This sounds kind of ridiculous that it even works at all. I'm eager to try this out. I don't think going especially q...

Re: New Level Caldera Finished

The CAnimal values "float UpAngle" and "float DownAngle" specify the maximum and minimum slope an AI can climb or descend. I usually have them set to: float UpAngle = 45.000000 float DownAngle = 50.000000 This seems to make them follow the same limitations as Anne when it comes ...

Re: New Level Caldera Finished

You can grab AI boxes from the retail game and place them in places you don't want the dinos to go. The CAnimal values "float UpAngle" and "float DownAngle" specify the maximum and minimum slope an AI can climb or descend. I usually have them set to: float UpAngle = 45.000000 fl...

Re: New level "Caldera" Almost Finished

Just gave this a go. Expected some relaxing Trespasser after a long day at work but instead I got one of the most intense levels I've played for a while. Lots to see and do, I really liked the layout of the level and the way you used the elevation to give the player an overview of the level - it rea...

Re: New level "Caldera" Almost Finished

I was initially inspired by looking at abandoned buildings in florida and how nature takes over pretty fast in wet/tropical areas. I love hearing stuff like this. Little details like that make it feel so much more real, even with the rather simplistic retail assets. With that in mind, might I sugge...

Re: 20th Anniversary of Trescom Community Level (RELEASED pg. 25)

Alright, gave this a playthrough the other day. Very impressive work from everyone who contributed. So much cool stuff going on, and so much work! Some highlights for me are the bunker with the Soviet armoured cars (which the game crashed while I was inside of, I suspect that may have been due to th...

Re: An AirBoat

If you're not planning on being in the airplane, then you can use play animations. If you want to be inside of a plane, well, that isn't going to be so easy a task You can have the Player (not the Camera "instance", I believe the reference you want in your ASA is "Player", but i...

Re: New level "Caldera" Almost Finished

That screenshot looks really cool so far. I agree, that custom building is really well done. Really eager to see what you've got in store in this level.

Re: An AirBoat

More really cool stuff as usual, Rebel. Will have to check this out later. Or, a single engine plane which you'd be able to go in for a landing as well. With a little trigger imagination and patience, it could be done. . . That would be incredibly impressive if you managed that one. The problem with...

Re: 20th Anniversary of Trescom Community Level (RELEASED pg. 25)

Okay. So I've been fighting with this for 2 hours to try and get it to work. Tried everything I would usually do, I even went in and fixed the GeomAdd errors and deleted the high-poly meshes. Nothing. On a whim I decided to start randomly flipping values in my tpass.ini file. And guess what? It work...

Re: Trespasser Remaster Rumors

Not to be the usual pessimist but I do find this one kind of unlikely. Tres is so complex and its problems so deep that I fear any remaster of it would ultimately end up a largely different game. I fear it would take away the charm of the original, especially since in all likeliehood they'd end up r...

Re: Trespasser: Isla Sorna (PLSUM Preview 1)

I finally gave this a look last night. Still not playable for me, unfortunately...my loading bar goes up to 100%, it freezes and then the game crashes right as it would usually be about to load in. I've looked at the Debug log but that's not telling me anything and also have tried your recommended s...

Re: New Level

Hey Raphaelsauros! Welcome to the site! :) I've moved this topic to our "Levels and Design" subforum for you as this is where we usually post new levels. Just checked this level out and...wow. This is pretty awesome, especially for a first level. I happen to be a huge fan of classic horror...

Re: Magazines in the intro sequence

Wood planes as canon anyone? Maybe it was a really old plane? Airframes used to be made of wood. We only see the interior of the plane so it's possible it was a really old one on lease for whatever tour company Anne was flying with. ...now that begs the question. Can we identify the actual model of...

Re: Trespasser: Isla Sorna (PH2IT Pre-Release Release)

I have spent work and the GeoPlant puzzles work pretty well (except the Condenser one that was never implemented) Did you re-do them from scratch? Or just modify them? The condensor tower puzzle should be doable, you might be able to do it with physics. I'd want some kind of indication that it's ja...
