Re: GAME CD
I'm kind of surprised it hasn't turned up on GOG.com yet as they tend to be quite good at re-releasing old stuff. The game is pretty much abandonware at this point - it's due to that fact that I didn't even know it existed at all until about 2008 despite owning pretty much every single other JP game...

Re: Jp Troodon in trespasser + error fixing needed.
I don't think that should matter, you might try importing it into your level first to see if the opacity map is indeed broken. You can manually update the textures your model is using inside of its .TPM file and add the missing lines for opacity if need be.

Re: New level ideas!
The second one reminds me of an idea I had a long time ago to do a level where you're trying to find parts to fix a time machine and escape from the Cretaceous period. Unfortunately that never came to be - TrespasserGuy and I were discussing doing a similar thing but I just don't have the time to wo...

Re: Stepping back into the world of Trespasser after a 12 year hiatus
Welcome back! You must be one of the legends from before my time here. I actually read the entirety of your fan-fiction years ago, and it was partially what inspired me to do one for JPDS.

Re: Juravenator
Nice work! That looks a lot like the Carnivores allosaurus. I'm amazed we have so many new dino models popping up all of a sudden.

Re: 2 Dinosaur release + New Dinosaur/ New Model uploads
These dinosaurs are all pretty neat! The giganotosaur's rough normal maps look fairly similar to those of the original game, and I definitely appreciate you picking a design other than whatever the heck they were doing in the new JW movie.

Re: 2 Dinosaur release + New Dinosaur/ New Model uploads
This is pretty good looking! The head in particular looks pretty realistic. Hopefully you get your problems fixed with this one - the transparency issue with the teeth and jaw can be fixed by duplicating the vertices for those parts and flipping their normals as Trespasser doesn't render backfaces.

Re: Hello
By more "memory" do you mean RAM? Tres can't even use more than 2GB of RAM, 4GB if you run the 4GB patch on it. I have a GTX 1080 4GB which is generally pretty good for most games but my PC sometimes still lags with some of the more detailed Trespasser levels (35-45FPS, usually have it cap...

Re: Gmax
I used to use Gmax back when I first started to try modelling when I was like 11 or 12 as it was free and there were less options to make things complicated for a newbie. I currently have a college tuition copy of 3ds Max 2018 which somehow never expired (they told me it was good for 4 years but it'...

Re: New Worker Village attempt
I see, okay, that looks about right as you've described. Was the cage perhaps then added for JP3? You can clearly see the new wooden walkway in the cage shot, I wonder if the cage was originally there at the time of Lost World at all? Though judging by the colour and design of it, it definitely does...

Re: New Worker Village attempt
That octagon-dome area is quite interesting. Maybe it's meant to be a sort of "nursery" for observation of young specimens, while the "cage" is exactly that - a cage for holding the dinosaurs, enabling them to go out into the elements. Would match up with JP1's lab as well, with ...

Re: New Worker Village attempt
Well now this looks fantastic! The level of detail is on a whole new level compared to your old village. I hope to see some new electric fences and trucks (especially that little yellow one) this time around, too!

Re: Canned Levels + release
No problem! :) A good level you might want to check out that exemplifies "good, tight level design" would be Craters. This is one of the best in level-design terms, in my book, and it's nicely detailed as well. There is a clear gameplay flow and it is clear where you have to go and what yo...

Re: Canned Levels + release
Thanks for fixing those. I took a quick look at the levels and I find they're both pretty similar to your previous ones, a large, open terrain with a lot of dinosaurs. I like that you put the old parasaur model to use, and the redwoods level looks quite nice in some places. Fairly simple stuff but s...
