Re: Blender 3.0 TPM Addon

I've released 0.5.0 - this is mostly the same as 0.5.0-rc2, but with a fix for supporting unbound vertices (typically bone indices of -1).
Links, downloads, and the user guide have been updated accordingly.

Re: Blender 3.0 TPM Addon

For those who are interested, I've setup a GitHub repo to better manage the development of this plugin. I'll keep providing files here and updating the main post of this thread as required, but hopefully the benefit of having a GitHub presence for the add-on will be that it's easier to support this ...

Re: Blender 3.0 TPM Addon

I've performed a reasonable refactor of the addon and introduced bone/skin support in a new version, a (release candidate for) 0.5.0 which is now available. I'm holding off on recommending this as the go-to choice until I've gathered some more feedback and it's been tested more widely - for that rea...

Re: Blender 3.0 TPM Addon

As of 0.4.3, I've added partial support for skin blocks - these will be imported as meshes (so in particular, vertex bone assignments are not preserved). For example, this now means you should be able to import dinosaurs in a limited capacity.

Re: Blender 3.0 TPM Addon

I've performed a small update to 0.4.2 in order to more gracefully handle missing texture maps. It should now report this more clearly, with only a warning (in particular, the import should still succeed), and will create a placeholder material instead.

Re: Blender 2.80+/3.0 TPM Addon

Hey LtSten, something strange cropped up today when I was using your plugin. I was able to replicate the issue in Blender 3.0 with plugin 0.4.0 and Blender 2.93 with plugin 0.3.1. Issue: TPM was originally designed to handle multiple meshes being exported into a single TPM file. Both versions of th...

Re: Blender 2.80+/3.0 TPM Addon

I've updated the original post to include a 3.0 version, which appears to work mostly unchanged and will be the version I maintain from now on.

Re: Sort of a small "guide" for new TresCom users like me.

Mike pointed me at this thread - I'll take a look at Blender 3.0 and whether it's something that's going to be straightforward enough to adapt the script for, if it's something people would find useful. Edit: It seems to just work with 3.0 by updating the compatibility version number. Give it a go a...

Blender 4.0 TPM Addon

Since Blender has evolved somewhat with the old plugins we had for TPM support, I've developed one for the latest versions of Blender: Add-on versions 1.x.y are the current versions, and intended for use with Blender 4.z Add-on versions 0.x.y were developed against Blender 3.z Early versions of the ...

Re: Sound names from the .tpa files

...LtSten found #436 while the forum was down, too (and I had been SO CLOSE to finding it too!). 806DC7ED SPEC-WOODEN DOOR HINGE As machf has mentioned, I managed to find the "wood creaking" sound recently. My approach was mostly the same as usual - having "spec-phone dial tone"...

Re: Sound names from the .tpa files

The Benelli is the first in the "shotguns" section, up to the Remigton 870. From Barret to Ruger Mini-14 you have the rifles. From Colt Diamondback to S&W you have handguns. And from Browning Hi-Power to Stoeger Uplander you have the earliest guns in Trespasser, most likely... (oh, an...

Re: Sound names from the .tpa files

I've verified the existing TPA lists and there seem to be a few mistakes, trailing spaces, and technically wrong characters: 6DE801E6 is given as "Bone07" in 96, 97, 99, 103 but "Bone02" in 116 and 117. "Bone02" is correct. 50784B5F is "VC A120 – H128" in 96, ...

Re: Sound names from the .tpa files

After listening to 170 and 171 in the retail TPA, I've convinced myself that they're probably shotguns (to me at least, they sound like the benelli). I grabbed the shotgun list from here and ran it through with the usual "gun - " prefix. Somewhat ironically, the one I've found isn't 170 or...

Re: Sound names from the .tpa files

No new finds, but sharing these files in case they're useful to anyone. I went and expanded my gun list by taking names from these Wikipedia tables (along with some other "List of..."s in the "See Also" section). I tried "gun - " followed by each of these, and then also...

Re: Trespasser - CRC-32 hash tools

I've updated my CRC tool (x86 and x64 binaries attached) so that you're able to specify different word lists for each "next" word, with it resorting to the final list if this is shorter than the number of appendings requested. CRCFinder.zip For example, I've tried running -t 8 -d "Gun...
