Yeah, that was my take on it as well.

Re: Creating a full body for Anne

I can already picture her walking through ascent with a somewhat down and out demeanor after being stuck for so long. :statue: Oddly enough that voice line always sounded off to me, more than any other one in the game. Kinda like Minnie is a couple feet back from the mic. The line was originally me...

I wonder how much will come back to me if/when I start listening to an audio book for it :)

Re: Drac Codes: Getting into C# programming again!

lol, it bugs me a tiny bit, when he uses the Jeep computer to draw a plot graph showing how the compy population should have 3 humps in the graph of height, instead of a single hump. It is hard to imagine the Jeep having access to something like that, and if it did, it would probably take a couple ...

Re: Drac Codes: Getting into C# programming again!

Argh I wouldn't know how to do that. The app above is simply for telling you how many of each dino there are in a given retail level, and what their instance names are. Can't really use it while playinng, and it gives no info on location. No worries, it was just a thought :) Your app reminded me of...

Draconisaurus wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 4:14 pm Don't quite follow. What would be used ingame?
What I meant was, could it be used ingame in such a way that a player character could use a monitor like that to 'scan' the area and be notified which dinosaurs would be in the vicinity?

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

Very nice, keep it coming :) I'm very curious in what state they are going to find the island. Edit: I'm not very good at in-depth replies to articles and stories. Just so you know that my short replies don't mean that I'm not interested ;) I do wish I could be more helpful here. Just know that I re...

Draconisaurus wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2024 4:24 pm Lmao. Method was to shift-select the base dino in the basement, which selects all instances with a name that continues from that.
Clever :) Could it be used in-game somehow, or was that not what you had in mind?

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

Yeah, I agree that's a good reason to cut the character. A year sounds long enough, curious to see what you come up with next :)

Cool! But; are the 'motion detectors' set to search only for the expected number of dinosaurs in a level, or also for any higher number? ;)

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

Elliot Wu Cool, as cut content it's still interesting to me. Is it known why Crichton made those cuts? DX Sounds good. How longer after the novel does your story take place? Sorry if I missed that. But for my compulsion with constant re-reading, maybe for me it's good to miss a detail now and then.

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

Malcolm and Levine Good to know :) Elliot Wu I see. Is this alt edit available somewhere, or just the bits online that describe it? Personally I'm still glad they cut him, as it takes away from the isolated/abandoned feel of the island I love so much. Allowing Arby to log in makes sense, but at the...

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

White board LOL, I was mixing the terms up too - I had a cork board and pins as well. I never got far with it, though. I'm pretty sure the Lost World notes got replaced with Fallout 3 maps and notes at that time  I found the Galli stuff and added the images from the book in this post. It's in...

Re: RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD

I do really like that too, how they have to do a lot of work to figure out where the island is. I still want to put up my own white board in my room, with similar things about some other subject on it. And, glad to have another Sorna fan around. 8) Funny you mention the white board. Back in 2008-20...
