No, no repairs. Boat's just eye candy. The only way off the Island is through the caverns....

In the words of Luke, Han, Leia, and C-3P0:

"I've got a bad feeling about this..."

lol. They ALWAYS say that, lol.

I bet you guys have set up some creepy stuff in there... it looks like a creppy yet beautiful place, if I have seen it right.

More stuff Rebel;

Parasaurolophus corpse:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/para1.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/para2.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/para3.jpg

And the zip:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/para_dead.zip

Includes a bunch of textures, all sharing a new palette. Some textures might not be used in this model, but they are on the 'alive' version of the dino.

I bet it'll look great with some compies around it, perhaps put those 'food-triggers' near the bloody parts of the cadaver.

Say, I like that bloodied, dead thing! Tehehe, perhaps I'm a true ghoul at heart.

Very neat job, Remdul. :)

I've sub'ed out the model with individual parts, so the bloodied areas are labeled as AI 3. That should keep any feeding limited to just those areas of the carcass. This poor soul of a creature fits in perfectly inside our storm damaged area....

*I really owe you a compliment on this dino and so much of your other works, Martijn. Your talents are really impressive. :yes:

More stuff:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/cages.jpg

The zip:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/cages.zip

Two new textures (plus one opacity map) both sharing an existing palette. One busted cage, bend 'n dented, and one intact, operational one. Should be about 1 meter high in game, idea is that these cages where used to transport infants from the island to Site B or back. Think you can stack a few up inside the hangar, and perhaps put also one in the lab, or near the pens.

Little preview of the new truck;

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/truck.jpg

Working on the textures now. Will create the crashed version you mentioned as well Rebel. :)

Neato. The zip doesn't appear to be working right now (transfer limit reached?), but I'll try in a little while. I'll definitely stack a few of cages inside the Hanger, still have one empty corner that they'll fit nicely into. Forgot about our porta potty for the back of the lab, but we can put that in the final version, no biggie.

Nifty truck, too. :)

btw, MadPpiper and I discussed a rather neat easter egg (and I assume you would not object) and I could use a little help from you, if you may. For the graffiti, we agreed upon using the back of the pen wall and signed in (red or green paint) will read:

' The InGen Gang '
Asjad
Mickey
Scallenger
Dino Neil
The Odd Father....

There'll be a rusted spray paint can (modelled already) lying about the ground. If player walks to a particular section of wall and uses the spray can (action key) it'll spray out ' Anne Jones waz here too! ' (have triggers already figured out)

What I could use from your expertise, is a spray cloud animation of either red or green paint, whichever you think would look better. I can use simple text for the graffiti itself, but if you wanted to create painted look graffiti texture instead, I won't stop you buddy. ;)

**You may have to check on that zip, Remdul. Might be a bad upload. Tried again, no go --

Uploaded the file again, this one should work;

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/cages.zip

Noticed the old file was as short a few bytes. Its rather silly that IE doesn't verify the file size of uploaded files...

* Sure, grafitti stuff is all great. No biggie. :yes:

Pickup truck WIP update:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/pickup_wip1.jpg
http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/pickup_wip2.jpg

Decided to stick to the looks of the pickup from the original levels, but I've redone the textures. Still have to texture the interior and add details like the engine, exhaust, mirrors etc.

Lookin' good. They resemble the original trucks, yet have a unique appearance to them. So, I like 'em. :)

Got the lighthouse light thingie done. Still have to build the controll panel for inside the house itself.

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/lhouse_lite.jpg

That's how it should be placed. It might get a bit in the way on your way up to the platform, but I'm sure there's enough space to get around it. Perhaps we can insert a little gag there; a sign near the top of the stairs saying "mind your head" or something, and if you do touch it, play a soft thud sound and make Anne say "Aw!".

Anyhoot, the zip:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/lhouse_lite.zip

Even tho I used a blue color, there's no opacity map. As I write this I realise that wasn't so smart, because that might give the whole thing nasty blue edges due to mipmapping. Just 'floodfill' the blue in Paint with 50% gray before you import it. Paint should pick the nearest available color in the palette that way.
Kept the glass part of the model seperate so you can animate it (lit, unlit) or perhaps even use a custom texture and scroll it to simulate the light rotating (like the way ocean textures work), but I'll leave the animation up to you.

* I wasn't paying attention much. Forgot to upload the files, and even the filenames where wrong. :sick: These should work...

* Edit: wrong smiley.

Hmm... neither of those links appear valid, Remdul. I'd like to check that pic out, make certain that I understand your setup.
