There's a few of us here that play the piano, right?
I wonder if we were to ask nicely, would Bill Brown release his sheet music to us for his Trespasser songs?
If not, there's a couple website (http://www.gamemusicthemes.com/ & http://pianothemes.com/) that feature free sheet music transposed by their members. Both have music of video games, and the latter link has stuff from movies. I just started researching into this, but I guess there are programs that allow you to simply import a MIDI and have the notes extracted out of it (now converting Tres's songs to MIDI is the issue...).

Hmmm... you don't "extract" the notes from a MIDI file - the music is already stored in that form inside it. What you can do is display it in partiture (sheet) form and print it. I have some old program that can do that, it's called MIDIStudio, I think...
UPDATE: Yes, it's MIDI Studio. You can find it here:
http://www.sonicspot.com/midistudio/midistudio.html
And you can't just "convert" songs to MIDI files, you have to sequence the music properly (play the music on a synthesizer and simultaneously send the data to the computer to store it).
MIDI music vs. waveform samples is analogous to vector graphics vs. raster images...

Don't you mean Anvil-Studio? I have it and it's a great program. You download a song in MIDI and the partiture dispalys in the program. It's fantastic! You can also play in the piano a melody and it is writed automatically on the PC screen...machf wrote:Hmmm... you don't "extract" the notes from a MIDI file - the music is already stored in that form inside it. No, that's a different program. BTW, I just downloaded it yesterday and it's also a good program... tested it for a while last night.
