Rain Effects / Costal Effects

Post by chronzerg »

I was reading in WikiPedia that you were gonna make some weather effects and costal effects. Can't these still be made by only one person who was on the team. Does anyone from the team have time to at least finish those two things release version 1.0. Also, how were you guys planning on making these effects.

Rebel posted an image up some time ago that showed the costal effects: it was a new version of ocean waves coming in and puling back out. Looked very cool.

Probably talking about the costal effects here.

Unfortunately, it's not available to the G.P. at the present time.
Sorry -

There's a thread somewhere about the fog effect. I think its a billboard like the tree billboards in the retail

Yea, they're clouds (billboards) and not fog. Beyond the rain al-
ready in tc_test level, the other effects are Ops useage only for
now. But yea, at some point they'll be released --

Hey, I got a question concerning the fog effect: I played TC-Isle long ago, when it was released; later an enhanced version was released (I'm not talking about low and high resolution), though, the fog effect didn't work properly on that one... Does anyone know why? Can it be fixed?

The only version labeled 'enhanced' is the demo version of tc_isle
and as far as I know there are no problems with that. Those set-
tings were never touched in any subsequent release version; the
only thing I can dream up is that perhaps you're stuck in software
mode (fog looks sick (layered) without hardware).
