The Green T-rexes (Female and Male)

Post by tatu »

I was talking with Draco about PCGamer IJ version, and that that T-Rex is Male, while the PH one is Female. I had forgot to actually look at the textures to notice that they actually have different textures.

I would like to note that a likely explanation is paletting specificity between levels... It is interesting nonetheless.

Well, if you look a closer look at the images, like switching them back and fourth, you will see they are not the same. Part of head is not placed the same etc.

I already rigged that ph rex, I just don't remember which dummy level I stuck it in. Doh!

Hmm. Despite the differences, I don't think there is much to this other than perhaps a different version of the model. The female Rex from Lost World was brown rather than green:

And so far, we have no proof of there ever being a brown Rex in any version of Tres (aside from the orange one from the retail).

They'd planned to breach the main computer vault and remove some of the data stored there. No proof was ever found.
:P
I consider the "orange" female to be brown, btw.

Well, I personally see this as an inferior model, and it's not just the texturing, but I added
the zip below with the rigged green rex (the one from ph, I believe) in case anyone is in-
terested.

Sweet! You know somehow I don't mind the lack of opacity map on the teeth. It's just damn nice to see this rex.

Minor note, it is using Para vocals in the level..
